Urban Meadow was born from a realization that as life gets louder, our need to disconnect becomes more vital. I’ve found that the most effective way to quiet the noise is to cultivate a living space right outside your door.
But I also know that gardening in Northeast Ohio isn't always easy. For the last ten years, I’ve been testing plants in our local soil to see what actually survives and thrives here. I founded Urban Meadow to take the guesswork out of that process. By combining the ecological benefits of native plants with the immediate beauty of other perennials and annuals, I want to help you spend less time worrying about your yard and more time enjoying it.
Grown to Belong
Every native plant in our collection begins with local ecotype seeds, genetically adapted to our region. We grow them right here without the use of pesticides or fungicides, ensuring that what you put in the ground is safe bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

We don’t believe in "one size fits all" gardening. We only sell what we’ve personally tested and successfully grown in Northeast Ohio soil. If it can’t handle our winters or thrive in our clay, it doesn't make it into our inventory. We sell proven performance, not just pretty pictures.
